There are several reasons why your Chevrolet Captiva might shut off while you're driving and then refuse to start. Some common causes include:
Fuel system issues: If your fuel pump is not delivering enough fuel to the engine, it can cause the engine to stall.
Ignition system issues: A faulty ignition coil, spark plug, or ignition control module can cause the engine to stall.
Engine sensors: A malfunctioning crankshaft position sensor or camshaft position sensor can cause the engine to stall.
Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor: A dirty or failed MAF sensor can cause the engine to stall.
Engine management system: If the Engine Control Module (ECM) is malfunctioning, it can cause the engine to stall.
I have changed the battery of my chev captiva 2.4 petrol and used my friend battery course myne was flat now my cluster, temperature Guage, odometer, radio, and fuel Guage are dead. The engine is still running the hazards and heard lights are still working but it only don't show on the cluster
