I have a 2002 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 liter engine. Manual transmission. I recently had to punch out my ignition and use a push button to start my car. The other day someone tried to steal my car and punched out the entire ignition and pulled the wire harness for the yellow, white and black wires that run to the ignition. Now my car won’t start and the Anti Theft (solid) has been engaged and my car won’t start at all. Someone pls helllllppp me.
Checked the fuse it wasn't blown but replaced it anyway. It still doesn't work the indicator light for the rear defrost button does not light up what is the next step in fixing this problem. Thanks for anything that will help in advance.
I bought a new battery and it still won't start. All I get is clicking sound... Plus the previous owner jury rigged a fuse from the battery to the starter...it may be bad... it doesn't have your ordinary fuse it is almost like a relay...
All gauges, speedometer on dash are dead. Checked fuses supposed to be for instrument cluster. All tested good with electric tester. With bright flashlight saw no evidence of any fuses being blown.
It's possible that the issue is not with the fuses but with the instrument cluster itself. If the gauges and speedometer are not functioning, it could be a problem with the cluster's circuit board or the wiring that connects it to the vehicle's electrical system. Another possibility is a problem with the vehicle's Engine Control Module (ECM), which could be sending incorrect signals to the cluster.
Car just turning ova but won’t start I checked the fuse box in the first 2 rows in not reading but the fuse are good new crack sensor n relays in fuel pump
Tried starting my car wont start and kept making flicking sounds. I didnt use it for a week and was just sitting in the cold so i figured i would just need to jumpstart it hut it still didnt work
Sometimes a jumpstart won't help and the battery needs to be replaced. If you have another vehicle you can remove the battery from your Chevy and take it to a parts store to have it tested and possibly switched out for a new one.
What is the power output on the signal wire from the ignition switch because it will not clear the theft system light is stay solid red and does not flash
Before my husband went to go to work, we had checked the fluids, added coolant and we forgot to put the reservoir cap back on. We drove it for about 2 hrs without knowing the cap wad off. Its a 97 Chevy cavalier 2.2. Cly 5 spd manual. I know it could be several different things.
I recently just did a stereo upgrade from factory system to aftermarket pioneer Bluetooth MP3 and I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but after doing so my car all of a sudden won't stay on after starting it it just stalls out right away every single time I will check the fuses they are all good I've cleaned out the air intake of any fluid I just don't quite understand what the issue is I understand the mass airflow sensor could be the issue but I would like to get somebody else's opinion
