It provides stable energy that has been regulated to the whole car. They are usually sealed and do not require any sort of maintenance. They have 2 terminals (connectors): a positive one (red), and a negative one (black). When the battery runs out, it must be replaced by a new one with the same characteristics.
Battery acted as if dead checked battery good still slow starts as if battery low checked alternator it checks to be good voltage Guage on dash fluctuations between around 10 and around 16 volts this just started
I've finally found the cause of my problem. It was the Chevystar, which I always thought was desactivated until my van was blocked by it. I've removed the Chevystar and everything came back to normal.
It has been running well. Started up fine this morning. Got to my appointment. Came back out to leave and truck would not turn on. It was as if the battery was dead. When the AAA mechanic checked the battery it was fine. But the dash lights would not come no when the key was turned. Then they did but there was no effert to start. The engine might click but nothing else. The dome lights were bright and working. It was putting out a full voltage the mechanic said. But again the dash lights would not come on. But then they did again.
I am having same issue. Can you please tell me what was wrong with yours. I replaced starter and battery is good... All fuses are good and relays that' I know of. Help asap
I have a pulsar LT upgrade trip for my Silverado, and what I discovered when I was taking it to the dealership was I was taking a pulsar LT main chip in disconnecting it but really, I should’ve been disconnecting all the wiring, which is only two harnesses, and then connecting back the originals next to the colder intake so when you take the pulsar LT and disconnect is the main chip it deactivated the whole vehicle. I’m assuming it’s a safety precaution which is a great one Security is key
New battery, new alternator , if my truck sits for more than a day it's dead, looking for I drain I noticed my shift indicator light stays on after the truck is off and keys are out the Lil orange light doesn't turn off? Possible drain??
I noticed my headlights on a few hours after I got home. Thankfully my battery was not dead yet, but I can't get them to turn off! My husband pulled the fuses and relays (I think that's what he said they were). They still stayed on!! He finally disconnected the battery. Please help!!

I have a 2004 chevy silverado1500 5.3 will not turn over. When I turn key on it. Has power to every thing good fuel pressure, battery full charger good power connection everywhere but will not turn over I've jumped a wire from the starter solenoid to the hot post on the battery and it will turn over but still won't crank but when it warms back up above 30° it will start just fine i can't figure it out I drive it every day back and forth to work it really frustrating because it make me later for work during the winter
I've got the same problem. When she's cold she won't start. Everything seems to work fine b4 the crank. Other comments said ir might be an ethinal Water issue. I was hoping I could just replace the starter but once she warms up a bit there's no issues.
Old battery went completely dead, changed it and now I don't have any turn signal noise, door chime, and my radio isn't turning on. I checked every fuse possible and still nothing, any idea what could be the problem?
First, check if there's any loose connector near the battery or semething damaged. I dont´t know Silverado, but maybe there's a sort of BCM or electronic module that controls all you mention.
This truck runs like a top all summer and fall, in the winter no start, tow over, when we take it to the mechanic in a warm garage starts right up, drive it home, next day forget it. Have tested everything electronic nothing shows up on the diagnostic, have replaced everything known to man, ignition switch, plugs, complete overhaul kept up well and still nothing. Our other vehicle starts right up in the same cold temps...any suggestions? Showing Wife's e-mail below. New Battery. This vehicle is not a Chevy El Dorado don't know why it says it on my vehicle description...is a 2003 GMC Sierra.
I was pulling trailer and my brake system light came on then it died. It will not start doesn't even try to start. Brake system light is on security light and battery light is on. With key off all my gages and running lights stay on
Removing and replacing emc and starter fuses under the dash is a temporary fix as i don't frive it much due to initial stalling and then stall with system shutout, no power.
I recently had an issue with the Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block (see pic)
Truck would not start. Zero power. As a quick fix we jumped two of the terminals and that got it started. However, I have no running lights. Everything else works including headlights, brake light and blinkers. Because the Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block will not arrive for a few days and I need to drive in the evening, I was hoping a mechanic could tell me if there is a temp fix by maybe jumping the terminals while I wait for the part to arrive. I currently have a 30 Amp inline fuse fuse so the truck will run. Please help
2007 Chevy Silverado will not turn over. Has a new battery, took the starter out and had it checked. Starter shows good. Vehicle has no alarm system or remote control system. No sure what the problem is or what else I could check
