I have checked with other mechanics and wev'e gone over "Everything", All suspension, Front & Rear. Wheel and Chassis alignment and all's 100% fine, Sugestion was Tyre size, But is Toyota Specs. Owned the car 7 years fitting new Dunlop 215/70R16 100H at purchase, The issue has just started, The tyre "just touches", enough to leave a shine mark in the Centre of tyre and Only on L/H Hard turn, This ones really stumped us, My main concern is Safety. 1005

Same running 235 70 16 runs on the transmission. Just a question putting 215.60.16 tyres will fix the problem all go 195.60.16

Curious I have same issue! 215/60/R16 OEM rims OEM specs say tyres are good and I have replaced control arms ball joints tie rod ends and steering rack, putting rims on off a Nissan that is 15+ offset as 215/60/16 tyres will fit and clear box! Hopefully!

Vibrates when in drive or in reverse

Toyota RAV4 2006  93300 miles
Occasionally and not day after day, when I'm driving in Drive or in reverse, my van suddenly starts shaking and it lasts for a while. It has also got a kind of buzzing which seems to be coming from the gearbox. It appears when I speed the vehicle up, usually when I change from 10-25 mph and it seems to be a bearing failure.

Your shaking problem is due to the transmission holder; take into consideration that there are two of this. I recommend you to buy the original ones which can be found in the car agency. And when it comes to the buzzing you hear, I think it must be the turbine of your car. You could try adding some oil conditioner to your fluid.

Engine jerks

Toyota RAV4 2005
I have a Rav 4 and I like the vehicle, but after 23200 km, as I'm driving in first or second gears, it jerks considerably. I though the problem was the fuel, so I increased the octane rating with some additives. The problem is still there and I feel that there has been some power loss from the moment I bought it.

This happened to me and the only thing that needed to be done was cleaning the IAC valve and problem solved.

Damaged engine

Toyota RAV4 2005  150000 miles
I own a Rav 4, and I have recently hit in the inferior part of the engine, breaking both the carter and the oil pump. It was repaired but not completely, as all of the indicators now turn on, such the ABS and the tire pressure one. Car rings have been changed twice and the main problem now is that, as I reach 3000 revolutions, it starts failing. I have now disconnected the sensor. Does anyone know what can be happening? I was told the cause could be the oxygen sensors, the ABS sensor, and even the automatic transmission. Please help me
