My Holden captiva 2010 has started leaking diesel into the motor oil , which causes the diesel fuel to run out extremely fast and for the oil to over fill and leak onto the engine which then brings out black smoke...
I'm not currently driving it , it's sitting in the garage collecting dust...
We've talking to different mechanics but get told different things each time...
Would anyone know where or what the problem would be so we can fix it...
The Injector sits partially inside the tappet cover with the oil, so when a seat leaks it goes directly into the oil. That's one scenario I read some Captiva owners had. Others point to the DPF injecting excessive fuel, but I would think that would take quite a lot of times to create any noticeable dilution through the piston rings, and white smoke would be heavy out the exhaust if it was doing that. I have one doing the same thing, a 2010 Captiva 2.0L. Within 1 month of driving it can collect between 1 to 2 litres of diesel in the engine oil. Dipstick reads double the full mark. Injectors are done, DPF if perfect, Turbo runs full boost, no power loss when driving, very smooth running engine. Never see any smoke out the exhaust, yet diesel still pours into the engine from somewhere?
