Doesn't start

Kia Sportage 2011  90000 miles
Hello, I wanted to share with you that, two days ago, I tried starting my car with the START/STOP ENGINE button and it did not start. All the lights and indicators turned on like they usually do, but the engine did not start, and I have not yet been able to do so. I would like to know if anyone can give me a hand and tell me what might be happening and what to do to solve it. Thank you.

Mine does the same thing if there is a charger plugged into the cigarette lighter. Take it out and it starts right up

I had the same issue with a 2011 kia Forte. Lights, radio and all the electrical system works but the engine will not start; not even crank. Changed the battery and the starter and the problem still exists. Each time it's happened, after waiting a few minutes and attempting again, it starts. It will never display the problem at the mechanic's shop.

My 2018 kia forte is doing the EXACT same thing, its a hit and miss, so whats happening is you put the key in and the dashboard and all the lights are on, EXCEPT when turning the key forward to start the car the car will not start i turn the key back and forth and wait a few minutes sometimes longer and then it will turn on. Took it to the dealer they say when they put key in it turn on so they dont know what it could be

Mine does the same and I realised if I take it out of park and back in it works

There was no response when trying to start my sportage in extreme cold - below about -10F. The ignition would not recognise the code in the ignition key. Apparently this is a known problem and the dealer replaced the ignition key module. This seems to have resolved the problem. I didn't try this, but I suspect that applying some heat to the ignition switch may have provided a temporary fix.

Died going down the road, now won't try to start at all, all lights come on when you push button.

My 2018 Kia Sportage will not start. Dash lights are one, it does it’s “system check” (which it does with each start) and no issues come up.
This same issue happened 2 months ago, they replaced the ignition switch, and now it’s happening again.
Hoping to get some answers from Kia tomorrow morning, and they get this issue fixed for good.

Mine won't start when parked in the sun and gets too hot. What could be the issue?
