It measures the air mass and it is useful for the ECU because it can calculate exactly how much oxygen is entering into the engine. With this information, the ECU regulates the engine parameters to ensure its right performance. The sensor is placed in the inlet manifold, just behind the throttle body.
I bought and replaced my MAF and o2 sensors, when the maf is plugged in and you start the car it idles good but when you Rev it up it smothers and drives real bad like it's drowning it self with feul, then when I plug it out the car idles bad but drives wonderful with all it's power etc.. .
I need some help also replaced the cvc valve, had some cracks in the intake hose and taped that shut not sucking air at all.
Please I am lost
