Overheating and thermostat

Chevrolet Cruze 2010  90000 miles
It's been three years since I bought my car and it has 90000 km and its problem is that it is overheating and the antifreeze evaporates. I've been checking it and noticed that there is liquid near the thermostat, so it seems to be the thermostat that is failing. What do you think?

Hi, by what you say, it seems evident that the thermostat is damaged and thus is no longer useful. You should change it, as well as plumbing the radiator so that the water can flow easily and thus not have overheating problems. I hope my comment helps you.

Over heating sensor problem?

Chevrolet Cruze 2014  330001 miles
Driving down the road and all of a sudden on my display reads, air condition turned off due to high engine temp. My heat gauge reads almost hot. The display then reads normal, speedo on. The temp gauge goes back to normal. Like all of this in 30 seconds. This happened 3 times in a maybe 10 mile ride. What could it be. I know my car was not overheating. A sensor?
