I was driving home fron chico and my car told me to pull over slowly and safely so i did i turned it off the red water light came on so i waited awhile i started it and tried to drive it home it told me engine high temp and would not accelerate so i pulled over again and got it towed home to where it is sitting after a day i drove it to the car wash and on the way home it said high engine temp so i came home and it is parked
I had the same problem. In my case, it turned out that the electric pump for cooling the electric engine was not receiving power (broken electric wire), which resulted in too slow coolant circulation and overheating of the engine under higher load (uphill climb, etc.).
