Installed a rebuilt crate engine due to a broken rod in the original engine. Old engine still ran with broken rod. Installed new engine and get code P0336. Truck will NOT run. New AC Delco cam and crank sensors. New connectors to the sensors soldered and heat shrunk. Get constant spark while cranking. Injector 3 and 4 only fire twice when cranking. All other injectors seem to fire constantly. We have checked, double checked, triple checked, and quadruple checked grounds. Have crank signal on scan tool. Swapped pcm and got the same results. We made a crankshaft sensor only harness and wired it straight to the pcm to rule out bad wiring within the harness, still no start and same code. Any ideas to help end this 4 month ordeal?
Reluctor ring either isn’t on the crank of new engine or has turned if their is no spark do you have fuel pressure at the rail and it’s good you can see crank signal now just see if it’s producing spark
So the 02 sierra has a anti theft system that is total bs. If the truck is locked and u try to open it,it throws a security light that drains your battery until u disconnect the ground for 12hrs,relearn the key from the door and ignition. The system also can stop your engine from starting, cause it to run then die and also cut fuel when your driving. The fuse is tyed in with the starting system.im trying to trace the security wire to the door handle to disconnect it.
Also it has 2 abs modules,so its impossible to deactivate abs. I dont even want abs.
