Won't get gas unless you depress clutch pedal

Hyundai Accent 2000 sedan/1.5L MFI SOHC 142000 miles
Was driveing down the freeway and it just stopped. Have found that gas is not comeint to the motor unless the clutchis depressed. I replaced the coil packs thinking that was the deal since it just shut down. A freind is suggesting that it could be the crankshaft position senser but I'm not sure about that.
