Could be that you need the throttle body relearn procedure. I did the same on my car and the revs are very high in park and neutral but seem okay in drive and reverse. Nissan has a manual throttle body relearn procedure you can try or take it to a mechanic with an expensive scan tool. Should take the whole of 10 mins

Something similar occurred to me and what I did was changing the starter coals. Even though it was not the best solution, the car worked better for some days.

The car Ravs itself

Nissan Tiida 2008  55000 miles
I bought an air filter, spark plugs and oil filter then asked a machanic to fix it up before they were replaced the car was fine but just after putting them the rav counter started going high and does not go down, this has gotten me worried.
What can I do about it
Could it be the air/fuel ratio sensor?
