Power loss and stalls

Peugeot 306 1999  70233 miles
Hi, I hope you can give me a hand. The other day, when driving, the vehicle suddenly lost power and stalled. I started it again, but it was a second at idle speed and stalled again, as if it were choked. I've changed the idle speed valve, the injection relay and the spark plugs; I've checked the fuel pump and there is fuel reaching the engine but, when cold, it does not start. When warm, and only if the battery has not depleted before, the car starts working properly but, when stopping, it chokes once more. I need your advice because I do not know what to do. I was told it might be an air entrance through the manifold, but I have no idea about it. Please help me.

I recommend you to check a relay that is behind the eco, good luck.

Could you please clarify what do you mean by "eco" (behind the eco)?
I have similar problem with my Peugeot 306 2.0 XS which wouldn't start after a couple of winter moths standing idle because of discharged battery. The battery is now charged and replaced with brand new one but the engine wouldn't start anyhow. After some checking of the fuses, knocking the relays, pulling the cables the engine started normally but so I moved it out to be able to change to summer tires but a few days later it started for a few seconds, then "died" and is now refusing to start/ignite again. For a few months prior to the start problem, I had been hearing screeching noises from the engine. Due to the cold winter temperature, my plan was to check it in the spring, so the problem could be related to the drivebelt (is it really probable because it is either working/starting normally or not at all).

@neskoIt is fuel related. I could start the engine by spraying lubricant directly in the air intake.
