Your catalytic converter must be failing and the only solution is to replace it. The oxygen sensor that is behind the catalytic converter is indicating that your car is no longer converting the gases and so it is polluting. I recommend you to change the catalytic converter for a good quality one, or else the failure will persist.

Check engine indicator SolvedSolved

Peugeot 307 2007  110000 miles
Lately, when entering the vehicle, the check engine indicator appears on the dashboard. When the temperature reaches 80 degrees and I reduce the speed, at a traffic light for example, the car stops accelerating and does not revolutionize. I need to turn it of and start the engine again while accelerating it so that it revolutionizes properly. However, the check engine does not disappear. Only when the car is cold there are no indicators turned on. I've applied some carbuclean with the engine working and that has helped during some days, but the failure has now returned. Do the injectors need to be cleaned? Or does anyone know any solution? Thank you.

There are many sensors implied in its good performance. It might be the temperature sensor, which informs the computer to accelerate, but I recommend you to scan your vehicle.

Gearbox failure

Peugeot 307 2008  71000 miles
When changing the gears, the car gives a hit, the alarm activates and a gearbox failure message appears on the dashboard. Apparently, the third gear remains set and, if turning the engine off and starting it again, the alarm is not there any longer. This failure appears usually when the car is cold. I don't know what to do, can anyone help me please?

First of all, I would recommend you to scan your vehicle to see any stored code error.
Jonathan from United States 8 years ago
In my case, when scanning the vehicle, one of the error codes provided was about an automatic transmission failure and the other one about the pressure regulation. Finally, it ended up being two solenoids from the gearbox that were damaged and, after replacing them, the car has worked without any problems.
SUE from United States 8 years ago
I wanted to share with you that a failure was found in a sensor, which was replaced as well as the gearbox oil. The solenoids were cleaned too, and the car has been working really well lately. Thank you all for your time and comments.

Transmission failure

Peugeot 307 2005  104000 miles
Hi, everyone. My car has got a constant transmission failure. At the beginning, it only appeared when starting the engine and while the oil was cold, but now, it even fails when warm and driving on an uphill road. What happens is that, when starting it when cold and accelerating it, there is always a gear that fails and the hit from the automatic transmission protection is felt; also, the automatic transmission failure message appears on the dashboard. The vehicle is then left in the protection mode, usually at 3rd gear, and this cannot be changed until I turn the engine off and start it again… Read complete

Yesterday this happened to me. I have read it has to do with a low automatic transmission oil level.
Jacqueline from United States 9 years ago
Hi, you need to change the oil every 40000 miles in order to avoid damages in the high flow solenoids or the two biggest ones. By what you are telling us, I would say one of them is damaged. I recommend you to replace both of them, change the oil and clean the solenoids body and you will see how your transmission gets better. Hope it helps you.

Hi, everyone. In my case, when the solenoids and automatic transmission oil were replaced, the problem disappeared. Hope it helps.
