Renault Clio 2001 126000 miles
I have a Renault Clio and the speedometer started failing. It sometimes works properly but then drives crazy and starts going up and down until it gets stuck. I've scanned the car but no failure was indicated. I really do not know what to do.

Hi, bridget98. You can try replacing the speed sensor, which usually loses the seal, oil enters and that is why it stops indicating. One cheap solution is to remove the sensor, open it carefully, clean all the interior properly, stick with a cyanoacrylate adhesive the cover that was removed and finally reinstall it. By doing this, it must work properly for some time. Good luck.

Hello, I have a Renault Clio 2, engine 1.6 and I had the same problem. It turned out to be that oil had entered the speed sensor, causing the little plate it brings start failing. I followed the steps on this link and the problem was solved: http://www.taringa.net/post/hazlo-tu-m…
