Oil alert on the dashboard SolvedSolved

Seat Ibiza 2004  124000 miles
Around 8 days ago, my Seat was serviced: the air and oil filters were replaced, as well as spark plugs and its wiring. Once the oil was changed for Mobil oil 5W-30, and not more than 5 minutes after I started driving, the oil warning appeared on the dashboard. I turned off the car immediately and checked the oil level, which was perfect. I decided to change the oil pressure sensor but the alert kept turning on. Today, I removed the oil and a fluid to clean the engine was added. After that, it was filled with the same oil 5W30 because the mechanic said it is the one this cars take. However, the engine oil warning indicator is still there. What can I do? Hope you can help me and thanks.

Hi, mave. It might be that the oil pump is not working properly any longer or that the oil crankcase is damaged. Check them both.

Thank you very much for your suggestions. I wanted to share that the crankcase and pump were checked as you advised and they were in perfect conditions. However, it was found out that the oil viscosity was too low when the car reached its average temperature, so it was replaced by a Magnatec oil 15W-40 and the warning disappeared. Hope this solution helps others with my same inconvenient in the future.
