The relay is powered up and activated thanks to a small electrical current. When it is activated, it lets a current that is much bigger than the original one flow through other two outlets. It is used to control the headlights, the rear fog light, the electric fan, etc.
Ran out of gas, replaced evaporator, regassed and ac worked for 2 hours then stopped. Light blinking. Told it was magnetic clutch relay. Replaced relay, still not engaging clutch, replaced compressor still got blinking ac light and not engaging compressor. Spent over $2k and can't find the fault. Anyone have an idea, PLEASE.
Two broken wires inside wiring harness that go to compressor, broken on car end. Natrad, 4 different auto electricians, Toyota dealer ,and still not working. A mechanic found it by undoing curly hose and inspecting wires. So brittle they just break.
After New Compressor, new relays, new evaporator, new fuses, new temp sensor and regassed three separate times and at a healthy budget if $2500! It was just broken wires. Atleast I have a nice new system.
