Rear stop light SolvedSolved

Volkswagen Golf 2005  198000 miles
Good afternoon everyone. I have a friend with a Golf confortline 2005 and the rear stop light does not turn on when pressing the brake. I've checked the fuses but they are alright. Has this happened to anyone before? Thanks.

Hi, he should check the stop light bulbs which might be blown, as well as the wiring which can be broken or having a short circuit somewhere, and finally the relay which can be damaged. Alternatively, you can verify the stop lights activation sensor that is in the pedal. I hope you can find the solution to your problem and, if you do, please tell me which was the cause. Good luck.

Just got this 2007 2.0L. City Golf for my son. Error check engine code came on for coolant issues. Code cleared using a reader. We had an extremely dead battery and had to install new one. I had to enter in the radio code to get some things working again. Next morning after entering code the check engine light came on. Could the battery and code be related? Or just coinsidence? Temp. Is staying consistent with straight up at 90 as usual
