The issue you're describing with your 2011 Chevrolet Cruze could potentially be caused by a faulty oxygen (O2) sensor or camshaft sensor. The O2 sensor is responsible for monitoring the amount of unburned oxygen in the exhaust and adjusting the air-fuel mixture accordingly. If the O2 sensor is not functioning properly, it can cause a decrease in fuel efficiency and potentially result in the car stalling. Similarly, the camshaft sensor provides information about the position of the camshaft to the engine control module, and if this information is not accurate, it can result in a loss of power and stalling.
To determine the root cause of the issue, I would recommend having the vehicle scanned using a diagnostic code reader. This will retrieve any stored trouble codes in the engine control module, which will provide further information about what may be causing the problem.
