Have you tried taking to AutoZone and run a free diagnostic on it? Generally it will give you a good direction of what's going on with your car.

My 2013 trax almost everytime will not start normally. I have found that when I step on the gas peddle it WILL start after that. Also my car alarm keeps going on and off, will do this all day long, in the morning the battery is ussually drained

Error code 35 & Language Display change

Hi, anyone know what this code means? I have no idea and just popped up. Also, does anyone know how to change the display language on the screen? For some reason mine came in Chinese and I have not been able to change it.

Error code 89 only in the morning (cold start) Solved

Hi,

When my car engine is cold in the morning I hear 3 beeps and error code 89 shows up in the dashboard. However, when the engine warms up and i turn off the car and start again the error does not show up. It is only when the engine is cold. I went to mechanic and they couldn’t find any error codes in their computer. I also borrowed one OBD2 connector from a friend and it says no error codes found but it can clear the code when I do it from OBD which then comes back if the car is cold. I don’t feel any symptoms either. I drove like 2000 km with this.
Any idea what could be the issue?

I bought a Bluetooth/wireless OBD device and used the app on iPhone called “car scanner” and I was able to found the problem.

Glow plug, cylinder 3 - circuit malfunction

It totally make sense and I am surprised that some mechanics where I went at least couldn’t judge it.

The digital speedometer screen still goes black occasionally. Sometimes when starting the car it's black and other times it's working. Sometimes after starting the car and driving the car the screen goes black and comes back on. There is no set pattern when this happens.

Replaced thermostat

Chevrolet Trax 2017 1.5 92000 miles

Replaced the thermostat in my 2017 Trax. Now I am getting a code for a turbo charger under boost.
This turbocharger was put in April 2023.
Is this because parts were removed to install the thermostat?

Totally new to this site, while scrolling & reading i didnt see an actual fix from a trained professional. So thought id add alil to the section. My speedometer cluster (tire,oil,fuel,speed) screen goes completely black aswell, and turns back on randomly. What i learned is, its not too big of a deal, however its a software update that a qualified technician needs to handle, and basically a consumer cant fix on their own. Take that bit of knowledge for what its worth. Im just some guy, who can read. Hope that helps anyone.

Wondering if it looked like this when it began? The lines move quickly back and forth like a barcode scanner. Mine just started doing this for a 2020 Trax. It goes away after setting for an hour or so.

My 2017 Chevy trax at 50000 miles I had to replace turbo , water pump and now radiator. This is a common problem on Chevy trax. I think a class action lawsuit is the answer to fixing these problems

I have a 2016 Chevy Trac. Ugh...Turbo and Solenoid both replaced just recently and the engine light is still on. Out $2500.00 so far. Carrying it back to have looked at again. This is getting so old. I like the little car, or did, but never anticipated all of theses problems. Chevy dealer had offered me $15.000 a couple of years ago. I should have taken the money and ran!
