Speedometer stops working and transmission light turns on SolvedSolved

Ford Fiesta 2010  128000 miles
Only some days after driving along a street which was a little bit flooded, I was driving normally when a yellow light with a punctuation mark in the middle turned on, the one that has to do with the transmission according to the manual. Suddenly, the speedometer stopped working and the car wouldn't gear (it is automatic), but after a while of waiting, it started working properly back again. I took the vehicle to the agency, it was checked and it is not failing any more, but still that yellow light appears every now and then and disappears the same way. Might it be that there is still some water in any contact? If anyone knows something about this problem, I would really appreciate your help.

Probably, some transmission sensors' connectors were wet, so I recommend you to remove them one by one, clean each of them with contact cleaner, disconnect the battery for around 10-20 minutes and that should solve the problem. I would personally choose to disconnect the negative terminal.

Libby, do you have any diagram to help me locate the sensors? I would be really thankful.

No, friend. Your engine is a different model, so you need to find the automatic transmission that works for that vehicle.

Can't reset the system

Ford Fiesta 2015 1.25 27000 miles
Can anyone tell me how to reset the system on my fiesta 1.25 (1965 model). I recently went to Wales and just before arriving at my destination I got a message on the screen telling me to check my tyre pressures, which I did put some more air into them but the screen tells me each time I switch on "check tyre pressures" I've read the manual and all it tells me is to reset the system. It does'nt say how. 78 year old confused lady.

Many failures

Ford Fiesta 2003  146000 miles
I would like to share all the Ford Fiesta's inconvenients. To start with, the thermostat box and the thermostat itself damage quite frequently due to the overheating. Due to a wrong design, when driving at 60 mph, an air leakage noise appears coming from the doors. It is not an economic vehicle and its suspension pieces damage very easily, just as the stabilizer links, the therminals and the brake security valve, which starts leaking. The clutch makes an annoying noise and the elevators break down. The shock absorber's rear bases rot and all the gearbox, automatic transmission and brake fluid are really expensive. However, I must admit that all vehicles actually fail at some point and have their pros and cons.
