The blower on my heater started making a horrible racket this morning. Waaaaah. So I ran it at speed 1. Sometimes when I drive, if AM radio is on, there is a winding up sound that comes thru the radio!
THEN this morning after driving around for most of the day, the dashboard just cut out. No warning. Just out. Radio works even if car is off. Interior lights, yes cool. Exterior lights brakes lights, hazards, all good.
Found the fuse (mini5 amp - fuse socket 69). Pulled it out. Burned. Okay, fine, changed it.
No change in issue.

I would ideally need to check the car over any coolant leak had to top it up at all ? Possibility coolant leaking behind dash from heater matrix could have got into the electrics and caused shorts. Could be a bad alternator running to much voltage. Could be faulty ecu if someone has done work on the vehicle which involved removing the window trim and wipers and didn’t refit correctly the tops of the engine (spark plug holes on petrols fill with water and corrode the engine. If water some how got into your ecu this would cause you symptomatic nightmares as this basically controls your vehicle. Check main wiring harnesses for damage remove and disconnect your dodgy fan inspect the wiring could be a real pain (dash removal) check dash cluster / clock and wiring behind them. If not mechanically smart find someone who is to check dude. If all wiring is ok and all relays are ok in relay plates ie not green / white corroded. Also check the big amp fuses 40-50-60 amp ones. If all ok check your alternator and battery maybe ford fitted you wrong one ? Ford won’t admit liability for out. , alternate option replace exhaust sell it and run lol

Was driving car and suddenly dies and brake peddle is hard to push and steering wheel is hard to turn and it won't start but brakes still work and still has power also won't even crank over I'm at lose with this plus it doesn't show the mileage just has lines their

It was a fuse that caused the car to stall due to the ignition transformer capacitor/radio capacitor

I sorted the wheel bearing today good job I did there was only the drive shaft and castle nut holding wheel on amazed it hadent snapped of. Well just to answer my own question no my 2001 mk1 Ford focus tddi dose not have abs

There's a grinding noise in The back of the car that gets louder as I go faster ik that would be the bearings in back but now there's a clicking noise along with it that gets faster as well when I get going would that be the bearing too cause I've never known bearings to click and when I had wigled the back tires they didn't move one bit (they are drum brake in back) so could there be somthing else wrong with the rear

Because of the "grinding" noise and the fact that it gets louder as you go faster, I would definitely suspect of the bearings. If you are feeling adventurous you could change them yourself: http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/bra….

A week ago my dash light went out so have changed fuse but still no light and also no back lights only brake lights any ideas iv recently spent money on the car with turbo problems so don't want to keep going back to garage if it's something I'm able to do

Accelerating without pressure on pedal.

Driving onto freeway, accelerating to correct speed but the car keeps accelerating well past legal limit even though my foot is completely off accelerator pedal. Pressed brake and pulled off road. Stopped car. Other times when travelling at 50kph around town, release accelerator but it continues at 50 kms by itself. No slowing down. Checked by Ford service. No problem detected.

Potential electrical fault?

I’ve got a bit of a strange issue going on with my car. It’s a ford focus 05. Whilst driving the handbrake light came on, then I noticed the electric windows and indicators weren’t working. The rear windscreen wiper kept turning itself on. The windows now seem to have come back on, and the indicators are now barely flashing but they’re not showing on the dash. The electric locking system is now also not working.
Does anyone have any ideas with what’s going on here?
