Accelerator sticking

Ford Focus 2001 Automatic  130000 miles
Accelerator sticks and revs up while driving. Now it won't even start. Throttle body has been replaced.

Have you checked the throttle assembly? Maybe the throttle return spring is broken, or there is a bind in the throttle linkage
