Maybe pinion gear along with other issues that could be shimmed?
Hard to believe that the rear leaf spring grommets would be the problem. Any input would help.

Ford ranger 2.2 diesel making a whistling sound as if air is coming from an air pressure valve. Noise intensifies with acceleration. What could be the cause for this and what are the possible solutions?

Engine top end noise

Ford Ranger 2017  7000 miles
When cold the top end rattles until warm. I have borrowed a new 2018 model and the problem does not occur. This is what highlighted the issue on the 2017 model.
