There is no power to fuel pump no power to the starter from ignition key and only one lead on the coil has power on it.

Location of starter relay

Two days ago I backed the p/u in the garage, it was running fine. The next morning it cranked and cranked but wouldn't start. Never had this problem before.

When I went to start my ranger starter bendix stayed locked in turning over engine had to remove battery terminal in order to turn it off, what happened and how to fix problem

Hey guys i have a problem with my 3.2 ford ranger wildtrak... after 3 days in garage the engine wont start... i thought it was the battery so i change the battery with a new one... but still it wont start... i describe it that the starter fails to continue to rotate and to start the engine... it rotates but it stops. Something is forcing the engine not to start... there are no indication lights on my dash board... do anyone have the same problem? my impression is the starter... any ideas?

My ford ranger 2.2 won't start after major repair. The fuel pump in the tank runs non stop and also the starter will only crank for less than 5 seconds. I've noticed that the fuel pump only acts normal when I take out the pcm relay then I bought a new relay but it still doesn't act normal. Once the relay is fitted in the pump runs non stop until I turn the key to the off position.

The pump runs for more than a 2 minutes then finally switch off followed by a clicking sound in the pcm relay so I really don't know what to do from here

My truck has been in 3 different shops for the same reason. Sometimes it will not start and the starter clicks twice like a dead battery. If I wait one minute it starts everytime but if I try to start if after the two clicks and I dont it just keeps cranking and wont start. I wait one minute and it will start. The shops have combined to change the wire harness,starter,battery twice. Their are no error codes and there are times I can go a week without any problem.

When turning over switch to start my ranger the starter stayed engaged turning motor had to disconnect battery terminal, what to do?

Doesn't start with ignition, thought it's a starter, turn the key to on, powered starter directly then boom starts perfectly, test drive turn ignition key off, engine keeps running, what could be a problem and how do I resolve it

Remove batt from truck let stand for 6hrs installed new batt started right up then around lunch it wouldn't start so after 5hrs tried again no start held gas to the floor while turning starter let go of pedal and it started next morning no start again and no luck with holding gas to the floor fuel pump is running with plenty of pressure

1998 Ford Ranger 4cyl manual transmission. Just started making this very loud clanking metal on metal noise when starting only. As soon as the engine starts the noise stops. What could be the issue. The starter engages fine and is not loose. I'm wondering if there is teeth damage on the fly wheel, loose fly wheel bolts etc.. . Any help would be appreciated.

When I try cranking the engine up, the starter just cuts off on the second swing, the engine makes a loud noise when turning aswell. This did run out of diesel and stood for year.

I changed motors and now the starter keeps going after you turn the key off and will not start has no fire or fuel

I was driven when I slag down ford just cut out try to start enjin was turning but anymore. Now the ford is in at garage. They do diagnostic test ext. Now there is no power to starter anymore. When try to start. Can it that the ignition had his day?

Have a 1.5 year old 2.0 bitubo ranger. On hitting the push start button, engine won't not crank and dashboard icons lights will come on. However, trying again after a few minutes will always work. This phenomenon is intermittent and recurs once every 2 to 3 weeks. The service center had change out the starter relay, but the issue happened again after 8 weeks. I appreciate any suggestings on what could be the problem... As this had been dragging for the past months. So far, Ford warranty center could not solve my problem. Thanks

It will not crank, Starter and battery have been tested

My Pat's system has been bypassed. Then I get back to my truck one day and lights are flashing. Starter or clutch makes weird sound when engaged. Took out the clicking relay under the dash, and now it only makes the sound when head lights on. And cargo light won't turn off

I put a used trans in my 99 ranger truck. The fly wheel turns and converter too. I was moving it when I was righting up bolts to converter. Hooked every thing together. When I went to start it just all the lights came on And no crank. But when I jump the starter it wants to start. Ground problem??
