My car indicates opened doors; even when closing all of them, the interior lights stay on and take more than 30 minutes to turn off. Even more, when activating the alarm, it does not sound one time as it should but instead twice, indicating there is an opened door.
My car indicates an open door and, when checking the light of the rear door, it does not turn off when closing it. I do not know if it is a door lock problem or a fuse failure. The thing is I don't know either which is the corresponding fuse because, when all the doors are closed, the lights turn off only after 20 or 30 minutes approximately. If anyone could give me a hand I would be really glad. Thank you.
Hi, Ford vehicles have failures in the door triggers which are located in its closing sheet. It is a bit hard to solve it: you first need to locate the failing door and then clean the trigger with a lubricant. Good luck.
I have a 2001 and this is what I did when this happened to me: first I changed the current terminal as it was old and then I changed the fuse number 1. The interior lights and door locks problems were solved.
The car's automatic sliding doors do not close any more. When they return to their closed position, they inmediately open again as though the door locks that keeps them close were not working.
