My van doesn't look to have an antenna I picked up one from the store that is supposed to be compatible but not sure where or how it is to be done. Was there not one made for this year?
When I have the Van in gear it won't run smooth and stalls just changed spark plugs and wires and put the manifold rods back on still having idle problem?
Now mind you, my van was recently broken into and was attempted to be stolen. The person or people that tried to take it were not able to, obviously. They broke the entire ignition and messed up some of the wiring. N now ever since that happened ive been having this problem.
I had to change the passenger mirror and rewire it and now drivers side driving light stays on. There were 2 black wires and 2 white wires, would it be because i wired one of them backwards?
Engine light started flashing while accelerating massive power loss code p0305 changed plugs and wires worse than before no power light flashing and a kinda misfire sound when hitting gas have to let off accelerator noticed overflow reservoir fluid is brownish looks burnt noticed intake manifold leak changing gaskets and seen black thick gritty sludge in bottom of manifold loosing oil by the quart every two weeks and noticed imcr module missing lever arms should I give up???? Is this a lost cause it's costing me a fortune and never had the recall on rear axle checkd ford really messed up with this pos
Still broke down looking for the imrc linkage rods not cheap and can't find em for my van manifold was completely clogged with carbon buildup don't know if it will ever run just paid the insurance to and got it legal plus 600 to get intake cleaned up and a letter for the recall on the axle 16 recalls never been serviced once its a lost cause I feel only hads it a year
Not liking this...my rpm and speedometer gauges are half lit. I noticed this last night. You really can't see under the 2 mark on the rpm side and on the speedometer side it lit up to 50mph them decided to light up at 80mph...no further on worker of them...wtf can it be...? Hopefully an easy fix...
I have a 2002 Ford winstar and to say the least I got 100 miles out of it before the front pump seal blew out. Fixed that and about 6 other issues. Now I need to replace the entire transmission. I don't want to pay $1500 ( more then I paid for the van) but I do have a Ford Taurus year 2002 with a great transmission. Can they be interchangeable?
Theft light doesnt do its on for 3 seconds then off approval cycle engine wont crank then after trying it for a few minutes then evreything will work fine till next morning then problem returns
Two days ago, when driving to my workplace, the rear axle from my van broke down completely. It felt as if the rear end assembly suddenly fell and, luckily, I was able to control the situation and avoid a major accident. I am not able to find this broken part anywhere; I've been told that these vans were removed from the market fue to a manufacturing problem in the rear end assembly, precisely. Can anyone please tell me where or how to find it?
You need to remove the dashboard and check the connectors. You should check the pins' welding, and you will probably need to weld them again. This was how I solved the problem with my car.
My vehicle's instrument panel has been failing: you simply open the switch and the needles start moving from side to side, even sometimes colliding into one another. What I do is to hit the dashboard a bit and they either mend or stop. I was thinking that may be it was simply a poor contact or a short circuit, what do you think about it? Thanks.
With a magnifying glass I was able to identify some welding points in the instrument panel that were damaged (5). I've welded them again and the problem was solved.
