Timing Belt oil soaked & pipe oozes heavy black smoke.

Honda Odyssey 2004 minivan  172000 miles
Engine do start but followed by a thick dark smoke out from the exhaust pipe, feels like it's on fire. Hesitates so badly that the engine and the whole hood shake. Tester indicated that all six coils fail to fire. Found timing belt oil soaked. I'm not sure where the oil that soak up Timing belt is coming from. 2 auto repair shops recommend buying a new engine, but this engine still stars though reluctantly. I fear that the oil contaminated T B might jump & cause damage to other Engine parts so I don't try to drive the Odyssey. Any help will be highly appreciated, please.

Rattle in exhaust maybe engine SolvedSolved

Honda Odyssey 2001  125000 miles
Car has a rattle that sounds like the exhaust is loose somewhere but on closer inspection it feels like also vibration coming from engine. I have removed oil pan suspecting bearing problem but they all appear fine. Thinking bout looking in the timing belt area but it's a nasty bit of work to do. I did notice a lil play in the air con pulley part when I removed belt but other than that any suggestions would be most welcome.

Try to see if one of your heat shield to the exhaust might be loose.

Yes it was the shield around catalyst part of exhaust so I removed it and catalyst scion and found that the catalyst had all broken down so I chipped it out and cars been running good ever since. Thanks for your reply

Honda Odyssey 2004 Honda Odyssey 3.5 240000 miles
I have checked timing belts and timing marks there spot on.
I checked fuel pump and have fuel pumping to regulater block.
Checked for spark and has spark.
Checked relay for injection.
The motor while trying to start sounds as if it’s out of time with long cranks with no attempt to fire at all. I’m at a lose At this point can I get some feed back on possible problems
