The rev meter goes up and I loose power. The car is then stuck in a low gear

Nissan X-Trail 2005 manual 2l 150000 miles
Started kangaroo jumping and engine shit down. Started again and as soon as pushed on throttle engine died. Since replaced sensors amd throttle control, idles but revs are up and down and when push on the kettle it still shutting engine down
