Acceleration failure

Opel Vectra 1997  167000 miles
When pressing the accelerator pedal thoroughly, the vehicle suddenly chokes. When releasing the accelerator, the engine vibrates and seems to be about to stall, but then revolutions raise slowly. I've already changed the TPS, CKP and oxygen sensors, the IAC valve and injectors; the engine has been adjusted as well, but nothing got better. Even more, when setting the D-type overdrive, revolutions drop and the engine stalls, without moving any longer.

There is a wire with a sensor that leads to the cylinder block. They are three wires that, due to the heat, tend to touch between them, causing the failure you mentioned. It is not hard to solve but quite difficult to find.

Acceleration failure

Opel Vectra 2003  1000 miles
Good afternoon. I have recently bought an Opel Vectra 2003 and it occurs to me that, suddenly, the vehicle accelerates to 4000 rpm and revolutions do not descend again. I've tried with a new throttle body and another pedal, but everything remained the same way. The accelerator is electronic, and I really do not know what to do.

Good morning, I have a Vectra 2004 which had the same problem. In my case, the intake manifold system was cleaned and the failure has not presented again since then. Hope it works for you too.

Acceleration failure

Opel Vectra 2003  2000 miles
Good afternoon, buddies. After 10-15 seconds of starting the engine, the vehicle suddenly accelerates. I've already changed the throttle body and the pedal, but everything remained the same way. When scanning it, the wheel speed sensor LH code has been indicated; can it have anything to do with my problem? If this sensor is broken or damaged, does it send any signal to the computer which might cause the vehicle to accelerate? Thanks for your help.

Your problem is the MAF sensor, which is together with the air filter.
