Revs fluctuate between 8-12 revs intermittently also can affects low gear when pulling off Doesn't stall at all no faults detected on computer.

When I start the car there is a loud whistling noise after a few miles it stops please help

This doesn't happen all the time but when it does, I start the engine and after about 60 seconds a humming starts up and gets louder and louder then maintains. When I shut off the engine in buzzes back down, it sounds like a nuclear reactor starting... I was thinking it might be the engine fan or a bad starter solenoid. I could use some advice...

Was driving had to step on the brakes hard and engine died and now it turns over but will not start

2005 VW beetle convertible with 133,000 miles. Starts fine and after few minutes the top ajar light starts flashing then the lights on the display come on (one by one-temp light-ABS light-airbag light-check engine light) then the radio shuts off then warning beeps and eventually the car stalls and will not restart. We have recently replaced the battery-relay to the battery-fuses on the battery relay-alternator and another battery. Any ideas?

I own a Beetle 2.0 year 2000 and it stalls after around 45 minutes of starting it. I have already changed its coil, camshaft and crankshaft sensor, fuel pump, relay 409 and throttle body but it keeps turning off suddenly. I've been trying to find a solution for a month and a half but without positive results. Does anyone know something about it?

My car stalled in the middle of the road, tried charging it and nothing so I replaced the battery and it still won't start. It tries but just doesn't catch. It made a weird noise like it was grinding I know if it was the alternator it should still start (I think anyways). My dad said possibly timing belt or some sensor. Please help me figure it out if anybody knows about this

I have recently bought a Beetle 2005 and, after driving it for around 40 minutes without stopping, the temperature indicator turns red. What I then do is stop the car, open the hood and notice that it is only then that the fans start working. I start driving it again and, after a while, the indicator turns on once more. When turning the engine off, the antfreeze liquid starts coming out and I think it is through the deposit that it does so. Why does it do this?

Hi, I own a Beetle 2001, engine 2.0 and my problem is that, only when the temperature outside is cold, I need to start the engine at least three times till it starts working properly and remain stable. The first times, it starts but the engine trembles noticeably, revolutions drop and it stalls. As I said, this event does not take place when it is a warm day.

Hi everyone, I have a Beetle 2.0 and its engine overheats. Apparently, water is not flowing properly, so it seems to be a failure in the water pump. When starting the engine, the ducts from the radiator's entrance are fulled with pure vapor and the hose that leads to the water deposit is not blocked, but still water does not leave when accelerating. The fans do not start working either when the car overheats. The fuel pump has already been replaced but without positive results. Might it be that the new pump is damaged as well? How can I make sure it is not the head gasket that is failing? How can I notice whether the pump is working properly? Thanks.

When starting my Beetle, it makes a noise which seems to be unloaded tappets. As I start driving it, the noise disappears. Once the car is warm, and when driving at low revolutions, the rattling begins. I then accelerate it till 2000 revolutions and it disappears as well. If I keep driving it at low speeds, instead, the rattling starts and after a while goes away by itself. The starting has not been easy lately either. What can it be?

Good afternoon, I have a problem with my Beetle 2004 and hope someone can give me a hand. After driving without any problems for around 10 minutes, the vehicle stalls and won't start again. When I bought the car (60,000 miles used, 6 years old) the check engine light would go on and off but the code reader returned nothing with any clues for an actual issue…really vague…also the interior light would go on and off when turned off completely randomly. My car only goes into reverse so I put a code reader on it on the car because my check engine light was on and the codes that came back where gear monitoring 00652 and the transmission temp fluid sensor (g93) 00300 I've had the chance mission fluid changed and a new gasket put on but the card shift gears but doesn't want to roll into gear example drive it goes a little bit forward but it doesn't go like it's supposed to I have to Rev on the gas pedal in order for it to move and when it does move but only moves real slowly please help oh also I also wanted to know is there a such thing as resetting the tranny and if so how would I do that

Just died won’t start. Replaced fuel pump still won’t start... obd2 code P0135 which I had before died. (Comes on and off).

Will a code show up for “crankshaft center sensor” or “camshaft sensor” on my code reader while just cranking engine over? How about bad computer?

The middle wire on the battery terminal buss bar is getting hot when running. Additionally the car will suddenly die at low speed and sometines the key won't turn. Are the three related. We just got the car as a repo and the previous owner apparently had issues because the middle wire has been spliced about 8" from the termial box and it has a brand new battery. Has an odor and the engine light comes on

Was leaving to the store, got 1/2 mile down the road when I see a huge cloud of black smoke coming out my exhaust...car started to act like it was going to stall but didnt... I pulled over until the smoke cloud cleared and proceeded to drive back home and it was fine. This keeps happening every 5 miles or so... No warning lights came on on the dash so it's not throwing any codes... I changed the air filter, cleaned the MAS sensor ( i think thats what its called) and went and bought a Dorman PCV valve replacement kit and had that installed...Now today it's more of a white/ gray colored smoke out the exhaust. Had it tested for a cracked head gasket and that was negative...HELP!

Check engine light is on when I come to red light the motor revs up and down I checked spark plugs they are all good. Some kind of vacuumed leak is happening. And seems to be oil leakage on bottom of engine

Replaced timing belt. Car started up no problem. Yeah. Well now it sounds like a moped going down the road. Loud noise like hole in muffler when shifting into 1,2 and 3. Once into 5 all is fine. No hesitation no idling rough. No pressure loss. Could damage have been done while being towed to exhaust?
