Sounds like you have hit all the bases except fuel. Inexpensive fuel test gauge hook up and turn key to on should read at least 60 PSI. Crank engine and see it pressure goes down bad fuel pump or regulator if doesn't hold over 55 PSI

Fuel pump is new and i got pressure

Check your icm module that connects to the pick up coil under the distributor coil

Check your position of your cap it could be timing
Bubba123re from Canada 6 years ago
Did the truck run before you changed the timing chain if yes you may have to revisit that repair as all your issues seem to have started after that, if no than you have to start still have to re-check spark and distributor timming.

I have rechecked everything 4,5,6 times over on my dash the security light on the dash is on and stays on never goes out.

Bet it had to do with your keyfob or security chip/dead battery possibly.

Turn over but won't start...

Chevrolet Blazer 2001 Chevy blazer, 2wd, 4.3 180000 miles
So every day when I first start to crank my blazer, (2001 Chevy blazer 2wd, 2door, 4.3) the motor will turn and turn but not start. If I spray starting fluid through breather and try to start it will crank and run until I cut it off. If it sits for a couple hours it will do the same thing, wont start til I use starting fluid. Rarely sometimes it will crank the second time without fluid. I've changed crank sensor, new battery, cap and rotor, it has ngk iridium plugs, new wires, checked fuel pressure which is at 62, new fuel filter, pump does engage when key is turned. I have fuel, spark, compression. I'm out of ideas. Please help

Did you check the fuel pressure while it was running, or while it was cranking trying to start? Some pumps when they're going bad will not supply enough pressure to start while cranking, but will while they are running

It sounds like the Mass Airflow Sensor is bad.

I have a new fuel pump and spark plugs and wires but he still won't start. Makes a winning sound when trying to start. When he tryes to start it back fires

I believe timing is way off after all the parts you have replaced. You definitely need to get it on TDC for #1 sparkplug and then make sure the rotor is pointing at the #1 plug wire in the cap. Something similar happened to a Blazer I had just from pulling the distributor rotor out and putting it back in. It turns out that because of the way the gears are cut. When it slides out it turns just a little ahead. When I put it back in I had to start a little before #1 position. Then when it was all the way down it lined up perfectly.

Starting/fuel issue

Chevrolet Blazer 2000 Blazer 100000 miles
My 2000 Chevy blazer 4.3liter has to keep cranking on and off takes like 20 mins and it starts up and will idle but when you give it gas it will act like it wants to die. Has a new fuel pump, filter, plugs, wires, map sensor, fuel pressure regulator, changed spider, crank sensor even after all that they turn the switch on and off and after about 15 times it will finally fire up and sit there and idle just fine and after it sits about 5 mins and you give gas it acts like it will die then let off and it idles again. Tried to unplug throttle position sensor and could give gas but when let off acted like it wanted to die put back in and same idles but acts like it wants to die and it back fires. What could it be

There are a few potential issues that could cause the problems you described with your Chevrolet Blazer. Some possible causes could include a faulty mass airflow sensor, a clogged fuel injector, a malfunctioning fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator, or an issue with the ignition system such as a faulty spark plug or ignition coil. It's also possible that the problem could be caused by a fault in the engine control module or other electronic component.
To troubleshoot the issue, you may want to start by checking the fuel pressure at the fuel rail using a fuel pressure gauge. If the fuel pressure is within the manufacturer's specified range, you can try cleaning the fuel injectors using a fuel injector cleaning kit. If the fuel pressure is low, you may need to replace the fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator.
You may also want to check the mass airflow sensor and make sure it is functioning correctly. If the mass airflow sensor is faulty or dirty, it could cause the engine to run poorly or stall. Other components of the ignition system such as spark plugs and ignition coils should also be checked to ensure they are functioning properly.

Chevrolet Blazer 2000 BLAZER V6 4.3 4DR 2WD 153000 miles
I purchased a 2000 chevy blazer 4dr 2wd 4.3 v6. I looked up online for the wiring diagram for the stock stereo. And then went and found the diagram for the new stereo. New stereo due to the old one with bose with cd and tape not working. Out with the old in with the new. When i was done. I still had 3 wires that i could not account for coming from the blazer. I taped them off and continued on. With the amp i grounded it and connected the remote turn on from the deck. And with the +12v constant to the amp i saw an open spot on the fuse box just inside the drivers door. Located at the bottom of… Read complete
