Problem sorted... apparently what can happen is... if you start your car shift it 10 metres and then turn it off and leave it... It can trap fuel in the system and flood it... it will not start unless you put the accelerator to the floor... common problem...

Please look this up. I also have a 2016 chevy cruze and have been fighting to get something done due to this same issue. Please call the GM corporate offices and complain as well file with the NHTSA and BBB if need be. They have blown me off and don't care to help. I have a 2011 cruze deisel i had to replace 2 computers with in a year lucky still un warrenty then the engine harness had to replace then as they fixing that the computer wasnt capactable so ince again anothwr computer now engine light is on im selling this headache as holden charges you 150$ to check out wots wrong. Not a good car to buy.
Same issue for me. TCS and ESP lights come on too!

I bought a Holden cruze turbo diesel 2012 6 speed manual transmission (same engine as Chevrolet cruze).
My car shakes back and forth between 1500-2000RPM, sometimes late response or no power when I accelerate, or accelerates alone when I use the accelerator. Code 84, DPF, engine lights flashing
Have you ever encountered these problems?

I found that the cable connection between the fuse box and the battery was loose.

Hey has anyone else had the issue of the cam shaft playing up? I've replaced the sensor twice and the whole cam unit itself... now the engine light is back on... running sluggish even though everything has been replaced... the solenoids have been cleaned out and everything is near new in this engine... what could it possibly be... !??? I've taken it back to Holden and they said it was the whole cam shaft so it's replaced and now the engine light is back on... getting over this
