Issues 2009 Honda Accord LX 4dr 2.4L

Honda Accord 2009 LX Sedan 2.4L 5A
Rear tires overheated to the point that it would burn a hand that touched it on 6-11-2012 (mileage 46,384). Smelled of burning rubber. Had to replace the left rear brake caliper, brake pad, and rotor. On 4-18-2013 (mileage 65,922) the same problem on right rear. This required replacement of the right rear brake pad and rotor. On 6-13-2014 (mileage 93,310) the same overheating occurred and required replacement of the rear brake pads. The latest occurrence was on 3-16-2015 (mileage 112,411). We have an appointment to have this examined in two days so do not yet know the diagnosis. I am very concerned that this failure could occur while we are driving and could result in a fire, blown tire, or crash.

Check your calipers for leakage that seems to be a problem with that

2012 Accord 2.4L LX issues

Honda Accord 2012 LX Sedan 2.4L 5A
I was slowing down and braking for a red traffic light. I had to apply a lot of pressure on the brakes as it felt like the car was going to accelerate. This is the second time that i had this particular problem. Both times, this acceleration attempt when i was braking, did not happen for the remainder of my drive. I did not notice the engine revving or see that the engine was overheated. I was driving on city street where the posted peed limit is 25 mph and i was driving withing the speed limit.

Just had this happen today, Honda Odyssey 2005. Very scary, fought to push brakes, threw in to park to stop. Then it revved 3x by itself.

2010 Accord 6cyl issues

Honda Accord 2010 EX-L V-6 Sedan 3.5L 5A 19000 miles
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 honda accord. The contact stated that while driving 55 mph, the check engine and the vsa warning lights illuminated. The contact shut the vehicle off and when restarted, both of the warning lights were still illuminated. The vehicle later stalled while the contact was driving 15 mph. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer, who determined that the engine overheated and caused other engine components to become melted. The dealer stated that the entire engine was defective, which needed to be replaced. The failure mileage was 19,000.

Problems Accord EX-L 4cyl

Honda Accord 2010 EX-L Sedan 2.4L 5A 30000 miles
I have had a very troubling and disappointing experience with the honda accord my wife and i purchased from rick roush honda (medina ohio) in july of 2010. I have attempted to work out a solution through the dealer but was told by the assistant service manger that the honda zone manager has refused to offer any compensation. We were expecting a normal $25. 00 - $30. 00 oil change. Imagine our surprise when the total cost for the services came to $515.32. A) maintenance minder code ?b? service $82.27. I have no issue with this service as it makes good common sense. B) replaced engine and cabin… Read complete
