The car's engine is wrongly designed, as the air admission entrance is located in a dangerous place, only a 20-25 cm distance to the ground. This can cause several damages to the vehicle when driving along roads lightly flooded.

When key is turned on while on packing the car is showing D gear along with P on dashboard. And when engine starts on D the car engine turn off itself.

I changed my Honda fit L13A engine and put the ex Japanese engine for replacement at first I drive it smoothly and the speed goes up to 120km/he it suddenly draged down the speed,now when engaging to drive it shows no power now I can't rev it,wats the problem.

Whilst driving the engine will cut out for a short period and then restart on its own.

I have an automatic Honda Fit 1.3 and some weeks ago some jerks started appearing when driving the car at high speeds. The engine and gearbox oils are almost new, less than 300 miles. Why does this happen?

My 2008 Fit started to hesitate upon acceleration and jerk at 40 mph then again at 60 mph. Went to mechanic who changed spark plugs which were burnt. This problem was fixed but now the car idles rough and shudders or jerks at stop signs and seems as though it is about to cut off. Also shudders when backing up. What could now be wrong?

I'm in new Zealand and recently bought a Japanese import fit.
Stupid move. Yes it's fuel efficient but the transmission is a tad temperamental to put it politely
I didn't know this was a common fit issue before I bought the car
I asked the dealer if it had a transmission service prior to my purchasing it. They said yes. I then asked why the transmission fluid was a nice brown colour when freshly serviced transmission fluid should be red?
I also asked why the car made a horrible burning smell on long journeys. They said that was just the hot engine smell being wafted through the open window by the air outside.
I laughed at that.
So can someone please tell me what colour serviced transmission oil is supposed to be and why I have a burning smell on long distances?

This car is impecable! I bought it with 12000 miles and it has never presented a failure. I've serviced it at an Honda agency and at the right time. The best points about it are: its driving, braking, habitability, materials' quality and engine, among others. The only drawbacks I can mention are: absence of a temperature gauge and stability control. I certainly recommend this vehicle, you will not regret it.

When the gear box is hot the car doesn't pick the gear but when cool the gears change smoothly

1 have bought an imported engine and gear box from Japan. The gearbox drove for only two days and it was no longer engaging on higher gears. I bought another recently imported gear box but it now have the same problem after 4 days

I believe they should close when turning the engine off, but they aren't.

My car was serviced last week and after major service the engine light appeared AND the machine shows sensors i dont know which sensor exatly because when accellerating more than 60 the engine goes off
