When driving on an uphill road, the car loses power and is not able to advance at a higher speed than 12 mph, even though I may be fully accelerating. However, it is only when ascending that the power loss problem appears.
Dear Immanuel, there must be a problem with the fuel movement. Have you changed air and fuel filters? And the water drain? If all this has been replaced, you should then check the fuel pressure system. But the most probable thing is that some filter is blocked, so I recommend you to change them all.
Disconnect a black hose, inserted in a round piece behind the engine, on its left side. The vehicle will stop releasing fume and it will work as never before.
I'm sure you figured out by now. Not to LOL about it, but I just took care of mine. Takes awhile to remember the last time if you had this issue before. First thing to check and most likely is the engine air filter I've had my santa fe 3 years, have been doing maintenance myself, simple stuff. Mechanics always say they check air filter, but to tell the truth, I'm the one who has replaced them myself. I was experiencing the same loss uphill and it happened the last time, I call it choking my vehicle. Just changed filter running like a kitten, lol. Good luck who reads, hope nothing worse than my problem. Prf
Technically I can honestly say that mine wasn't filter. It was the actuator causing problem. Then because I had Theta Engine in vehicle, I had an small oil leak that turned into a oil River, took 15 quarts oil just to go 60 miles. Then caught fire by the blowby from oil and destroyed all components behind engine. Needless to say is good luck with yours, I own a 2023 elantra as of Monday the 22nd August. Santa Fe is in the shape of a cube somewhere.
Hi, I have been having a problem with my jeep for a month. At the moment of gearing, it loses power notoriously and it is only after a while that it starts working properly back again. I have already taken it to the agency but no failure has been found. Can anyone please help me? Thank you very much.
Well, that is not a major probelm. What I recommend you to do is to change the clutch sensor, as it is that sensor the one that, at the moment of gearing, sends a signal for the jeep to accelerate a bit in order to avoid descompensation.
Occasionally, my vehicle does not gear properly. I need to release the accelerator a bit in order to gear and it is not a soft change, rather sharp instead. When changing from Reverse to D, it jerks and I have noticed this happens sometimes as well when changing the transmission from D to Sport (semi-automatic).
How many filters are they on those old santa fe?
I can only climb hills on 1st gear -- and the faster I get is 5km/h!
Changed fuel pump, all injectors, spark plugs, various sensors... the list is not exhaustive.
Nothing !
Additonally, once I turn on AC, the car looses almost 90 % of it's power and there's a huge power lag.
What coud be the problem ?
