Injectors cleaning problems

Power loss when accelerating

Nissan Almera 2005  115000 miles
My car does not accelerate, it loses power instead. It has been checked with three different scanners but no failure was indicated. I've checked the fuel pressure and it is 48 pounds. I've changed the positions of the camshaft and crankshaft sensors as they are the same, I've cleaned the injectors, the throttle body, the MAF sensor, but the car is still the same. Has anyone had this problem? I have my doubts with the VVT valve as, if it fails, it is not detected by the ECU and it affects the engine time and performance.

Hi, if you are still with the problem, check that the 3 of the stop lights are working, as the car loses power if one of them fails. Hope it helps and good luck.

I spent a whole day trying to find this fault and it turned out to be both brake light bulbs. Never in my 35 years as a technician have i seen this problem without a fault code. Massive Thanks to you.

I've changed the MAF sensor for a Sentra one and the power loss problem was solved. You can try replacing yours with a Sentra or an Altima sensor, good luck.
