Dashboard noise

Nissan X-Trail 2005  103000 miles
Good morning, my van's dashboard vibrates as if it were loose. When it is a hot day, this does not happen, and I imagine it has to do with the materials expansion while being exposed to the sun. Can anyone tell me how and where to adjust it?

ARLENE from United States 9 years ago
Hello, in my case what I did was to ask for the dashboard to be disassembled and a thin but dense foam was added in the places where I thought the noise might be coming from. Hope it helps you and if you find another solution please let me know.

Rear emergency braking.

Nissan X-Trail 2023 t33 500 miles
With the trailer attached the rear braking comes on. I would expect the rear sensors would disconnect when the trailer wiring is connected. This makes for a dangerous situation if you need to reverse in a hurry. Switching it off in the dash is ok but it resets after engine is shut off. Filling up with petrol requires the engine to be shut off. If i could locate the rear sensors fuse in block J/B 10A #41 it would help. When the trailer wiring cover in folded down the read switch should disconnect the sonar sensors. Now at 12,400 kms. The latest I have found about the trailer connection is the r… Read complete

Bad camshaft sensors

Nissan X-Trail 2006 2.5 L gasoline engine, automatic transmission. 102000 miles
Engine would not start last week. Towed to Nissan dealer. They replaced the camshaft sensor. I had already replaced it myself twice during the last week. C$360. That’s a lot to me. Now the check engine light has come on again. Sure enough, bad camshaft sensor code, P0340. Hat to take it to the dealers again, but it is on warranty.

Electirical failures

Nissan X-Trail 2006  140000 miles
When raising the driver's window with its switch, it reaches the top and then returns to 3/4 of its final position. The co-driver's window can be lowered but not raised; this last movement can only be done with the main command. Both the rear and front windshield wipers engine is not working any more. After 75000 miles, the engine oil must be checked because it tends to start burning it and the dashboard does not indicate this. The airbag light remains turned on, in the agency they remove it but it activates with the first movement.
