Error code 67 SolvedSolved

Chevrolet Cruze 2012  23000 miles
Error code 67 appeared to me and, as I've read in the handbook, it has to do with the steering column. When turning of the car and opening door, a strange noise can be heard. I assume it is the steering wheel's lock. Does anyone know how to solve it?

The error code 67 is an error between the comunication of the bodywork module and the steering column one. In the steering column module there is a device that reads the steering wheel's position and, when reading it inappropriately, the bodywork module determines that its state is not the right one to start, nullifying this function. The problem is within the column module, where a latch locks or breaks. In most of the cases, the problem can be solved by hitting softly the steering column module, located right under the column itself and to access it you simply need to remove the underlying plasic, which has four screws. Others say that, only by moving the direction, when pressing the start button again there will be no inconvenients. Good luck!

If the noise when you open the door is longer than usual, you should take your car to some workshop because it is the steering column module that is failing.

The steering module device can be fix without going to any workshop if only you have the time to figure it out... you need to know what the steering module is it under the your car steering area inside, just lose it out and clean up the old grease inside and check if the small motor inside is okay if yes just it will work for you and the error will be gone once you complete this process. Make sure that you grease the device back before mounting it back good luck

So now my question is where is the power steering fuse Located on this vehicle? After I had my car turned off About an hour I turned it back on and low and behold it started working again so I don't know what could be the cause any help would be appreciated

It sounds like you may have a power steering problem with your 2017 Chevrolet Cruze. To find the power steering fuse, you can consult your owner's manual, which will indicate its location in the vehicle's fuse box. If the manual is not available, you can check online for a diagram of the fuse box and its contents.
If the power steering fuse is blown, you should replace it with a fuse of the same amperage rating. If the power steering fuse keeps blowing, there may be a more serious problem with the power steering system, such as a pump or a control module, that is causing an excessive electrical draw. You may need to take the vehicle to a mechanic for further diagnosis.

The newer cars have electric power steering assistance, id recommend taking it to a trusted mechanic for deeper inspection
