I got the same problem it wasn't that bad a couple months ago but now it is increasingly worse my key get stuck in the ignition now I thought it was a battery problem but now I replaced the batteries but it's like I don't know if the alternator is not charging the battery or what it is I have to jump it every single time so I'll let go to the store and I'll keep my car running because I know if I cut it off I'm not going to be able to get it started again I replaced the starter and all the wires coming to and from it I thought it might have had something to do with the ground because I had a system before and it was stolen so I didn't know if that had something to do with it and now I mean I guess I want to check all my pieces and relays again but there is this anti-theft thing that keeps on popping up and I was reading on another website I think it was bumper.com where this make and model has 18 problems that were never recalled that should have been with the gross amount of consumers that were suffering from the same problem as well as the interlock braking system. Sometimes I'm thinking it might be like a problem with the ECM because of the sporadic nature of the lights the headlights the windows and the door locks at times. And I'm having trouble with my headlights as well one of them got so hot that it melted the housing and one headlight works and then the other one doesn't it pretty much has a mind of his own and does what it wants to do whatever it wants to do it but that's not okay with me

I've got two problems: it takes many attempts to finally start the engine and once it does, there is a terrible gas smell.

Check the hose that carries the gas to the engine. It may be either broken or damaged.

Vent/purge canister by the fuel tank on the inside of the fender, they go bad and cause hard starting/ dying out while going down the road and you smell fuel

Battery died and now the anti theft security light is on so I now can'

Chevrolet Impala 2008 Impala 3500v6 159063 miles
It first started when the blend door actuators would still be on even after I turned off the car. Then before I knew it my battery was dead. I didn't have the money to get a new battery so I let it sit for a couple of days. Then got a new battery and come to find out it triggered the anti theft security light so now my car won't turn over. I tried turning the key only half way to where the car was on but the engine was not then waited 10 minutes with it on and then turn it off for 5 seconds. I did that for about 3 hours yesterday. Then I read to unplug the battery for 30 to drain all the power… Read complete

Went to O'Reilly's to see what was causing check engine light to come on. But it wouldn't let him read it just kept saying start car and the car was running. He said that it's a fuse or relay.

No crank at ignition and electrical arc

Chevrolet Impala 2007 Lt 3.5 Lt v6 220000 miles
The wires behind my radio after I took my deck out sparked and my car was running while this happened and it died and I have not been able to start it ever since. One of the wires that went from my ignition switch to behind my radio was disconnected and I have no idea where it went because I let somebody else work on my car and now I'm stumped and have no idea what to do? I ran a wire from the starter relay on the fuse box under the hood to the positive on the battery to see if I can get it to turn over and run like that and it cranked but would not start
