No crank no start with ignition stuck in run but not key ign stuck on! SolvedSolved

Ford Explorer 2003 Sport Track XLT 4L  120208 miles
I drove to work and turned off my truck to listen to the radio before I went in. I went to start my truck up to roll the windows up before I went in only there was no crank and no start without any clicking from low battery which has been tested or starter trying to turn. I went to make sure it was in part and as I pulled the key out of the ignition the instrument fell out on the dash stay on. Not only that the key will come out in any position you put it in the ignition along with whichever gear Up place it in. It's an automatic by the way. Anyway I had to go into work so I went to undo the b… Read complete

It was a broken actuator in the ignition column. It's a flimsy piece of plastic and I can only find crappy plastic replacement parts for it. If anyone has ever had this issue and found an aftermarket replacement part that is metal let me know.

It was a broken actuator in the ignition column. It's just a flimsy piece of plastic that I can only find in PLASTIC of course. If anyone knows where I can get a metal one that works from some aftermarket parts distributor let me know. Thanks and I hope that this helps a lot of people. It seems to be such a big issue that Ford Motor Company should've issued a recall on this type of problem. I have seen hundreds upon hundreds of forums and videos with people who have had this same issue in several Ford vehicles leaving people stranded and some with the steering wheel locking while driving!

Won't start and some acceleration problems

Ford Explorer 2011 Suv, automatic, 4 wheel drive 690000 miles
So this is the second winter in a row that I verify had to replace my battery multiple times. It's only been a week but again today my car wouldn't start. Also once my car is jumped and running game I'm having problems accelerating. If I need to accelerate quickly my check engine light will come and the car almost stalls. Then sometimes while in drive (usually I notice this when on the highway) sometimes my car will de-accelerate for a couple of seconds and I can hear a high pitched noise. I have no idea what this could be and when my car was just in to have the battery replaced my internal computer showed no other issies. I own a 2011 Ford Explorer with about 70,000 miles on it. I am the second owner and I love in Pennsylvania so our winters can be pretty cold!

Started with turn Signals

Ford Explorer 1999 Automatic 4WD, 3.9l v-6 205000 miles
It started with the turn signals I change the fuse for the turn signals three times within 2 days. Then all of sudden the hazards and turn signals weren't working but the fuse was fine. I tried looking stuff up on the internet at that moment and seemed mentioning of I believe it's called the hazard relay but it's under the dash directly above the OBD2 hook up. So I unplugged it, took it off took it into AutoZone to see if they had a new part and I was just going to buy a brand new relay to to replace it. But they didn't have one so I took the old one back out plug it back up and all of a sudde… Read complete

My guess would be a bad ground to the dash panel somewhere, or a damaged wire that is grounding intermittently. Also try a new flasher unit.

The CPU is not communicating with the OBD2 scanner

Ford Explorer 2003 Ford Explorer Sport XLT 2 door 6 cyl 5 L 160000 miles
I took my 2003 Ford Explorer Sport XLT for a smog check. The results came up that I passed all parameters related to emission but the smog tech said the CPU was tampered and not communicating with their Smog testing machine. He hooked up an OBD2 scanner to show me there's no communication between the scanner and they CPU!! He failed my smog test and re - test after I get the problem fixed within 30 days. Is it possible that I passed all emission control parameters yet my CPU is Not working monitoring all systems? What could have caused this? I checked all fuses and relays they are ok. Did chec… Read complete

3 different times in last 52 days car just died at stop light and would not start. Went into park and couldn't be pushed to side of road. Only 20,000 miles, still under warranty and dealer can not diagnose or fix problem despite it being there for 4 weeks this last time. Ford Corporate no help, no loaner, no rental. Have read numerous comments on Facebook Ford advertisement that many people are having exact same issue.

Check transmission light and transmission overheating light.

Ford Explorer 2004 V8 explorer Eddie baur 212400 miles
It's seems to not shift all the way to top gear. Also, after a night of sitting in cold weather. Doesn't kick into gear right away. Takes a few seconds then it gets going. Both reverse an drive it does this. But when the engine is warmed up it drives perfect. But after a few miles of driving the check transmission light comes on and if I don't stop the transmission overheating light comes on. Also the low oil temperature light comes on. All fluids are good. Had mechanics change oil an tran fluid and everything is as it should be. It is a rebuild transmission. What kind of problems am I looking at. What could it be. Solenoid , computer modulator, or a faulty sensor. Hoping it's something I don't have to pay to much to fix. Desperate for any tips before I take it in. Thanks
