Does not start

Ford F-100 1977  600 miles
My f100 has been without being used for more than 7 years. I've been replacing all its pieces for more than two years: fuel hoses, fuel and oil filters, gas, caburetor kit, fuel pump, wires, among many other things. It is almost all new but still it does not generate the needed explosions. Sparks can be seen in the coil but the car does not start working. What might be happening?

Fuel, spark, and compression, if its getting spark with proper spark plug gap, then make sure it gets fuel and air, if you know its getting fuel air and spark but doesnt fire maybe fuel ratio, dont flood it, and these are machines made by a team of engineers you shouldnt just go replacing everything, replacement parts are worse most of the time, you may have installed carburetor kit wrong, or mixed up wires, if its cranking gettting fuel and spark might be timing, spark plug wires mixed up, its hard to tell when anyone replaces a lot of engine components and still nothing is fixed,

Starting failure

Ford F-100 2008  168000 miles
I own a Ford F100 duty xlt 2008 and it presented no problems until, one day, it started failing when starting; the engine turned, but the van would not start working. I took it to the official agency, where I had bought it, and left it there for a week. It was supposedly repaired but, the following day, it did not start any more. Without any doubt, I took it immediately to the agency again, and they accepted to check it once more. Another week went by until they called to say the van was ready. I went to pick it up and, to my suprise, I heard an annoying creak coming from my vehicle. Even more… Read complete

I have your same van 2007 and, when it failed when starting, the problem was the fuel pressure, the safety valve more precisely. For you to understand what happens: there is a hose that goes from the fuel tank to the engine and, occasionally, some air remains inside, like a bubble of air. This causes the starting to take longer than usual, or that the engine starts but stalls after 5 seconds. With the fuel tank completely filled, the problem is solved but it is quite expensive. You need to take it to a mechanic and explain that this is happening to you, and do not believe them if they tell you that the injectors are the ones that are failing.

Maybe use a one way fuel valve so fuel says in the line, and full tank isnt expensive gas and the problem is not fixed, if your van has an auxiliary tank it may be the fuse in crossover line, if not id try a one way check valve hard to determine when the only descriptions are creak noises and would not start working

Safety valve failure

Ford F-100 2010
Most of the f100 vans have a problem in the safety valve in the engines cummins common rail. The problem appears when this valve remains stuck, not allowing the engine to start. I found this out by myself because no one was able to solve my problem in the agency. I am now waiting for the replacement. Hope it helps.
