Most likely faulty door module. Would require diagnostics to identify which module is at fault.

Had this problem too. More Ford "quality". So so far my throttle body can crap out, or I can pass out on a railway track and nobody would be able to open my doors.

The back right door of my car won't close properly. I cannot even do it manually. I've already changed the fuse located behind the fusebox.

Hi I have a 2007 Ford escape i don't no how long i have had this issue it could have been like this when i brought it last year. The problem is the rear (tailgate) door and window are not locking only the other 4 doors lock with the remote we have tried most things but with no luck. Does this mean we have to buy a new locking system or is there anything more i should try first. I hope it is not expensive to replace the actuator as i dont have a lot of money as i am on a disability payment so i will try any suggestions that i can first. Kind regards Anthony

Is the key worn-out or does it look ok? Maybe the ignition is dirty. In that case it can be fixed by spraying small doses of an electrical cleaner in the ignition and afterwards gently sliding the key in and out of the ignition cylinder many times. Do not force it! Try this and let me know.

Notorious poor key assembly. Had to replace mine also. I got lucky tho, I found a tech who could pair up my key to existing computer codes.

Sometimes I found if the car was on an incline if I rocked it while trying to turn key it would loosen and turn, or rocking the steering wheel, unitl finally gave up altogether. I got lucky tho with the tech (500 for new ignition coded to my key and 2 new keys)

Yeah, me again, I've almost replaced everything so far. Like, motor mounts, heater fan, heater fan switch, doors don't open from outside, throttle bodies, ignition...

Oh yeah and, wheel bearings all four, stablizer bars, tie rods, control arms, ummmm, like timing belt, headlight lenses (fogged and damaged from inside due to moisture getting in through inferior gasket seal in lenses, don't go to Ford they want close to 1000 for both, not including labour) ummm alternator, on and on and on...

Your fan module needs to be replaced, just replace the whole fan assembly.
