Dear friends, I would be really thankful if you could help me. I have a Rio and yesterday, when trying to start the car, it did not respond. The engine turns but it won't start working. I really do not understand what happened. I've checked every single fuse and they are all fine. When I give contact, the everything turns on normally on the dashboard, except for a light that shows the figure of a car with a key in the middle. I was told that the immobilizer had been activated. I do not understand how and why it happened. Can you help me please?

Notice one day that when I turn on my head lights my radio goes out turn lights off and radio works then the next day my speedometers and rpm gauge stop workingnow the engine light is on but the car is still running

I have checked the fuel pumps, spark plugs and coils, compression, fuses, battery, starter, there's fuel and everything works but it won't turn over. The only thing that was different when it stopped working was it was parked on a flat road instead of an incline. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Dealership says I must replace leaking power steering rack. $1650 for repacement. Is this a common problem with other Kia Rios at only 54000 miles?

The car fuel consumption is high, it was in a flood , a few years ago. Whilst driving, the car will just surge, like a power dip. If I lift my foot slightly, it loses power. No codes, no fault codes. All sensors are new, filters are new. Up hill I have to accelerate higher, the eco green goes out easily. The things I didnt check yet, is the CAT and gear box( automatic). Your advice will be appreciated.

Purchased this 2013 kia rio hatchback 2 months ago. I was drawn to this vehicle because of it's decent fuel economy. I've put roughly 550 miles on this car since my purchase. From day one the onboard computer was showing around 12mph average. My personal ledger shows the same around 12mpg average. Can anyone help me here? I cannot seem to find any info on what is the problem.

2005 Kia Rio Original problem: after hearing to operating temperature vehicle will not accelerate no engine power or rpms, pull over put into park engine would rev up, put back into gear no rmps. Grinding noise heard while travelling lefthand front

Car goes into limp mode after driving for at least 1/2 hour and heater coolant fan refuse to work. Change engine oil temp sensors still in limp mode

We have a 2008 kia rio diesel with really light steering when travelling at speed. It is really twitchy and dangerous when travelling around a corner at speed, but will be good when it is travelling around the town at low speed. All steering joints are ok, have replaced steering fluid with recommended fluid and it's going to be expensive to replace steering box when i don't know if it would fix the issue. Has any one else had this issue?? and what did you do to rectify?? it has done 340,000kms

Recently my front hood release cable has stopped opening the hood. I tried getting under the car and pulling the cable with a pair of pliers to open the hood but no luck. I'm thinking of taking off the grill to trying to detach the hood release but I'm not sure if these in the way to go or how that process would work. Can anyone help?

Seems to start fine initially and drive fine as well. Recently at very random occasions (like if I stop for gas) it seems as though my Kia won’t start. The lights come on, it makes the sound as if it’s cranking but nothing and then all the lights go completely off or dim. This has happen three times as of today over then span of two months and two of the times it has reset my dash view. (Trips starts back at zero or changes from viewing mileage left in tank to a trip or avgerage gas mileage. ) there doesn’t seem to be any warming as to when it happens and there has not been any signals lighting up in the dash and the car gets regularly serviced it just happens. Any thoughts?

Engine management light comes on and off intermitently over the last 3 months had 2 new airflow meters de carbonated plus several other diagnostic checks ithink the electrics may be at fault?but garages say no but they cant find fault

My radiator fan has stopped working. I just done a 157 mile trip and stop at a shop tgen restarted my journey and I heard a clunking noise. I stopped at my destination and looked under the bonnet and relised the fan was not going round...

At low revolutions or when the gear is changed, a jingle becomes audible, that is there not when driving at high speeds. I use a synthetic oil 10w30. What can I do to remove the jingle? Thanks for the help.

Kia runs fine after a jump and when it sits overnight it will not start again

The car has had a service but the problem still persists. ---The symptoms--- 1. Rough idling at rest. Rev pin would fluctuate 100-200 RPM. After service that is no longer an issue but the even though the pin is not fluctuating you can feel the engine isn't smooth. 2. My Coil 1 keeps melting and thus malfunctions and car never seems to drive smoothly

It starts fine in the morning but stall and stops after about a 15 to 20 seconds. This happens untill I throttle down for some time while it will be making a shooting sound. This continues for about 5 to 20minutes before it stabilizes

Engine starts and runs well until 5 min in then cuts out and won’t start for like 15 min. I have changed o2 sensor and crankshaft sensor. Battery I think is ok as all electronics work and the car cranks over.

Forward gears not going in automatic

I have fuel in my Kia and I have a great battery in my Kia but when I turn the key switch the motor wont start if I cross the starter over the engine will start. What could be the problem?
