Ran out of gas, Carberated, won't start now

Ford F-150 1989 Pickup 156 miles
My son has a 1989 ford f150. He ran out of gas, put gas in it, sprayed started fluid, changed the fuel filter, checked the air filter, and reconnected the battery. It tries to start, but won't catch. We don't really know much else to do, any suggestions for a newbee diy'er? :)

Oh, we also can't figure out how to open the carberator to pour more gas in it...:/

First, make sure you have enough gas in the tank. Then, turn the key for 2 seconds, and let it rest for a couple of seconds. Do this again a few times: the goal is to fill the gas system. Pay attention to see if you can notice whether the fuel pump is working or not, it might have broken. Good luck, let me know how it goes!

2010 F150 4x4 supercab will not start. No lights or power to instrument cluster. Replaced cluster now have power to cluster but engine will not crank. 4.6 24 valve

You ran out of gas so you probably picked up crap off the bottom of the tank into the filter so check or just replace the fuel filter first.

My pick up does not accelerate

Ford F-150 1998  140000 miles
It started with jerks while driving; when starting gold y vibrates and then it normalizes. While driving it losed power as if choking a little, but now it got worse. It chokes while accelerating and sounds as if exploding, when I let go it keeps driving; if I accelerate again it does the same but it doesn't stall. If I turn it off for 5 seconds it works for 10 minutes and then it fails again. I alreadi cleaned the injectors, changed spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, fuel pump, coils and their sensors. I've already had this problem for a year and they can't solve it, yesterday I scanned it and had air sensor error, but changing it didn't fix it.

It sounds like the issue I had with my 2008 5.4l engine. I replaced spark plugs and coils. Finally it ended up being the VCT solenoid. I got my power back and it runs great.

The pcm fuse in the interior fuse box on the driver side is blown. It happens when the fuel module goes out or has a bad ground. The wire harness for the pcm runs through the frame of the truck. I went through 3 pcm and probably 20 fuses trying to figure why I had this issue. There is an exposed wire running from the wire harness touching the frame. Good luck

Id start by changing complete fuse box. The whole box! I had almost identical issue almost 2 yrs ago, never could figure it out. Had a rare day off work and a bit of tinker brain wanting to tinker and had looked at everything imaginable. So i daid to hell with it i puuld the box and took it apart, completely! I seperated the circuit boards and foun a blown trace. Completeley seperated trace, finger, run or whatecer you wish to call it. It was completely seperated like a ¼in gap seperation. Snatched a box from junkyard hokked it up and been gettinit ever since

Od light flashing and transmission fault

Ford F-150 2006 F150 xl 4.2 liter rwd 169000 miles
I took my k&n air filter out and cleaned it with soap and water and only let it dry about 5 hours I used the dryer to try to dry it out and then when I put it back in and drove my truck it started driving crazy and the OD light started flashing and it said transmission fault and when I would push the gas it would hesitate the next day when I got in it no OD light was flashing no transmission fault code but when my truck got to run in temperature it will start kind of hesitating and it's been doing that ever since it runs fine when I first start it but no more light and no more transmission fault on the gauge it's not saying that anymore it's just when it gets to running temperature it starts running rough and it's gradually getting worse and worse I don't know what it could be
