2000 Honda accord vtec 4cylinder manual transmission. I have a clunking sound sometimes when turning, not always though, sometimes the clunking sound happens when I shift into gear when driving straight but will stop as soon as I put it back in neutral. The sound doesn't happen all the time, there is no pattern to it.

After changing my intake hose and spark plugs. My engine rattles when I'm at a complete stop. And not to mention my "check engine " keeps blinking.

Driving down the road and the check engine light came on. Drives fine feels okay. There is some noticeable rattling though on the right side.

The past two times i have brought the car in for an oil change i have been told that the oil level is below the dipstick. Both times i have brought the car in for an oil change with 20% oil life showing. Shifting from 2nd to 3rd sometimes gets "blocked". That is the only way i can describe it, you go to shift and cant get into gear, either have to go back to 2nd or back to neutral and then back in. The "double pump shift" usually works. I have also had a problem with the speaker deck rattling which i had supposedly fixed under warranty but only to have the same problem.

Loud rattling noise upon cold start. Honda says no fix available. Sounds like metal on metal and honda can not fix this?

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 honda accord. The contact stated that a rattling noise emerged from the transmission and made a loud sound. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The dealer stated that a secondary shaft bearing fractured. The vehicle was taken to a transmission specialist and the diagnosis was the same. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,370.

I am experiencing the issue outlined in tsb 09-010, at cold start-up, the engine rattles loudly for about
2 seconds. I am in the process of trying to contact american honda to see if i can get goodwill to get this repaired. It is unacceptable that this is such a widespread known issue yet honda fails to issue a recall.

This is a nightmare. Honda accord 2014. Last night my windows and sunroof automatically opened; there have been other random electrical problems, see below. Car was descending down a hill, i heard a loud metallic clunk and the car instantly rotated left throwing it across the oncoming lane and down an embankment through some trees, car stopped in mud. Mechanic from body shop that towed the car said the engine started fine but the car made a grinding sound when he tried forward and reverse, neither worked. Car was totaled due to body damage. Car was still under warranty but honda would not investigate, repair or pay any damages.

Popping and clunking noises in driver's side front end were due to improperly torqued lock nut on driver's side strut. Dealer inspected it and determined it was not compromised, so reinstalled it; therefore it must not have been defective, but improperly torqued.

To: nthsa i had purchased a brand new honda accord in march 2014 and soon after i noticed a rattling noise in the steering wheel. I took it for repair to the dealership and they took me on a test drive to hear the noise and they attempted to fix it without success. Upon being handed the keys to my brand new 2014 honda accord i noticed a lot of scratches near the doors. I thought it odd since it's a keyless entry car. Excessive oil consumption. I am putting 1-2 quarts oil every 3000 miles, even though the oil life indicates 80% or better. I bought this car new and just noticed this about 9 months ago. The oil is not leaking, it is just gone. Also when i start the car first thing in the morning or when is is cold, the top of the engine makes a rattling noise. There is also a loud pronounced noise that sounds like it is either the engine or the transmission, something doesn?t sound right. I am taking it to the dealer to have it checked out.

On 11/22/14 i was driving on a small residential street going under 15mph approximately 5 feet from the turn i was going to be making. A right hand turn. I heard a bang and my steering completely locked up. I hit the curb causing my right front passenger tire to blow. The steering was completely locked up and the vsa light was on. Knocking rattle drivers side front. *tr

The noise coming from the passenger side under the glove box when the air is on is annoying and pretty loud. The radio can't even conceal the sound at low volume. Likewise, the glove box isn't latched according to the lines of the dash (1 cm gap). The glove box moves and rattles. The seat also rattles and shakes when going over any surface whether highway or city streets... These noises are just too much. The car is 09 not 1988. Actually 1988 probably wouldn't have all these problems. The deal said the air noise is normal??? sorry it's not normal to not be able to talk to someone because the car feels like it's breaking down and noise is coming from every direction.

the consumer stated the noise was more prominent when the gear was in drive, with his foot on the brake. The dealer found the gas tank was rubbing on the body. They lowered the gas tank, placed insulation in it and adjusted the straps. Updated 05/22/13

Right front suspension makes a metal to metal squeal noise when turning to the left while the wheels are rolling. Crown honda, durham, nc replace three parts in the right front suspension under warranty as directed by honda tech line on nov. 20, 2012. However, as of dec. 5, 2012, the squeal noise has returned when turning to the left and the right front suspension now makes a clunk noise when traveling over small dips in the roadway. Since the noise sounds like metal to metal rubbing, i'm concerned about breakage of these moving parts and my overall safety. *tr

There is a known fabrication defect of the steering column on honda accord 2009 model. A service bulletin was issued by honda corporation regarding this issue in 2009. The lower bearing of the steering column was mis-installed. As a result, the steering column makes a clunk noise when the steering wheel is turned. I first brought this issue to the attention of the honda dealership soon after i purchased the car in october 2009. They did not do anything about it. Meanwhile the steering became sticky. In other words the bearing in causing binding. I am afraid that at a sudden turn of the steering wheel, the bearing might shatter and lock up the steering column. I bought a 2011 honda accord lx, it was delivered with 11 miles. After i drove the car for little over 300 miles it was making a lot of noise. The noise is coming from the transmission and left side suspension when the car is put in reverse. Brand new 2011 accord v-6 coupe has so many isues. This is the only car i ever owned that you hear gasoline splashing around the tank,when turning left or right the rear suspension squeaks,the transmission bucks like crazy when accelerating and decelerating!clunking noise from the front end. I bought a new 2010 honda accord at marin honda in larkspur, california on sunday 1/31/2010. But i did not pick up the car until monday 2/1/2010 because the car was "not prepared" on sunday evening. I drove the car home from the dealer in the afternoon on 2/1/2010 and i began to notice a rattling noise coming from the hood on driver side. I just purchased the car on july 2015. My car has 5,350 miles. I notice when i drive the vehicle it takes a lot of energy to adjust to the speed almost like a push back/stall. There is also rattling when i drive that i can't attribute to any personal items.
