Changed flasher bulb, replaced 5 amp fuse, replaced relay - I even sacrificed my wrist which got stuck inside the frame of the light casing, and took me 15 minutes to reclaim use of my arm. Anyway, it still doesn't flash front/left turn signal. All others lamps & signals are fine. I guess 3 out of 4 aint bad! :)

Hazards/turn signals not working

Ford F-150 1998 F150 190000 miles
I can't get my hazards or turn signals to work. I've replaced the flasher relay under the dash and the 20 amp fuse is still good. All the blind are good. Still doesn't work. So now I'm looking at the turn signal/flasher switch on the steering column. Has anyone ever heard of one going bad? It's over 90$, so I wanna be sure. I've haven't blown a fuse yet for this.

Yes, indeed, I've heard (and read) of many people that had this problem and it got fixed after changing the flasher module. You should be able to get one for less than 20 bucks. I hope it fixes your problem as well! Let me know if it does, so that I can count one more on the list ;)

I had a weird situation where the right turn signal to a trailer hooked to my 2003 F150 would not work. I found it was a bad small fuse in the plastic fuse cabinet under the hood. That cabinet is a bear to open, but it swings up pulling from the fire wall side of the truck. Feel to the left rear corner as you look at it. A mirror was helpful to see what I had to pull. Inside at the top was a fuse creamish/clearish in color with the number 2 on it. Replaced it. Right turn signal works. Go figure, but that was the problem. I would note my left turn signal on the trailer worked fine.

First check that the lamps in the stop lights are working, and if they are you have to check the interrupter that is on top of the brake pedal. Normally that is the one that fails... when stepping on the pedal it should send the signal to the lights, otherwise it won't work

So he said to bring it in first thing in morning. He got all the specs on the truck, went in to the office and came out with a diagram. Pulled the fuse replaced it all in about 10 minutes. Used smoke machine to check vacuum leaks didn't see any smoke. Checked vacuum line from brake booster that hooks to back of intake seems intact. Well I guess nobody has a clue. I have changed the throttle body w new solenoid. EGR valve mass air flow sensor spark plugs coil packs I even made my own small key machine to check for vacuum leaks. Nothing I cleaned fuel filter and o two sensors. It has around 40 psi for fuel pressure. Help this country girl is tired of being broke down guess I'm gonna round up a old nag of a mule to ride to town and back. Saves gas... sorta
Backwoods G from United States 5 months ago
Check your duct work before the mass air flow sensor. Look for any hole or crack that could suck air. If it sucks air and begins to swirl inside of that duct work it will make it run rough. I’ve got a 99 F150 that had same issues i cleaned my mass air flow sensor, on underside of duct there was a rubber grommet that wires run through that had come loose, and a 1/4 inch gap where plastic met the fender. I secured and taped the grommet and taped up the gap and it instantly changed, runs like a top now.

I'm not familiar with the f-150's electric system, but some vehicles does not support led bulbs, the electric system recognize them as damaged bulbs. Check out the fuses anyway, maybe there were a short or something weird during installation. https://www.startmycar.com/ford/f-150/…
Lugnutt from United States 9 months ago
This is 7 months old but maybe this helps somebody else out but to use led's because of their little use of power the computers recognition is well below threshold voltage to be recognized its fouled as inoperative. On turn signal hyper flashing after installing led's you will also need to buy a new led signal flasher also.10 to 14 dollars and where led's aren't. Recognized you have to put one of them metal clad resistors there about as long as a pack of cigarettes and get hot as hell so mount in a safe location. It gets the led bulbs working

Bruce from United States a year ago
There could be several possible reasons why the headlamp is not functioning on your Ford F-150, even if the fuse is good. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

Check the headlamp bulb: Make sure the headlamp bulb is properly installed and not burnt out. You can try replacing the bulb to see if that fixes the issue.
Check the headlamp wiring: Make sure the wiring to the headlamp is not damaged or frayed. If it is, you will need to repair or replace the wiring.
Check the headlamp switch: The headlamp switch could be faulty and not providing power to the headlamp. You can try replacing the switch to see if that fixes the issue.
Check the headlamp relay: The headlamp relay could be faulty and not providing power to the headlamp. You can try replacing the relay to see if that fixes the issue.
If you have checked all of these components and the headlamp is still not functioning, it is possible that there is an issue with the headlamp circuit itself.

Here are some potential causes to consider:

A blown fuse: The first thing to check would be the fuses that power the headlamps. If the left side headlamp fuse has blown, it will need to be replaced.
A faulty headlamp switch: If the headlamp switch is not functioning properly, it could be causing the left side headlamps to not have power.
A wiring issue: If the wiring that connects the headlamps to the rest of the electrical system is damaged or frayed, it could be causing a lack of power to the left side headlamps.
A malfunctioning headlamp assembly: If the headlamp assembly itself is not functioning properly, it could be causing a lack of power on the left side. This could be due to a problem with the bulb or a failure of the assembly itself.
