Well you can have moisture in your fuse box for some reason like I did but that's because my windows of my vehicle were leaking and the truck was sitting for months but if any kind of moisture got in there it could cause it not to work

Take a test light to your solenoid and see if it lights up when you turn you key on and off if you do not have power it wont light up. You may have a bad transmission nutreal sensor it supplies power to the solenoid.

I have a ford 2011 f150 EcoBoost 3.5 twin turbo. My only key left had taken a beaten. I didnt have the extra money at the time to purchase new chipped keys. After exhausting my options I was investigating my after market remote starter. It was a brand named Directed it had a 566u Immobilizer bypass box. I removed four screws on box and Bam there was a brand new key!
Inkman66 from Canada 2 years ago
As long as you have the key code (usually kept in the owners manual or someplace safe like that) you can just go to a locksmith and have a new key programmed to your vehicle's vin#. It's a WHOLE LOT cheaper than the dealer.

There could be several reasons why your 2006 Ford F-150 won't start even though you've replaced the starter, fuel pump, driver fuel module, and starter relay. Here are some possible causes:

Fuel pump relay: The fuel pump relay could be the issue if the pump is not getting power. Check the fuel pump relay and make sure it's functioning properly.
Fuel pressure regulator: If the fuel pressure is good, the next step is to check the fuel pressure regulator. It could be stuck open and causing the engine to stall.
Fuel injectors: Clogged or dirty fuel injectors can cause issues with the engine running properly. Clean or replace the injectors if needed.
Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor: A malfunctioning MAF sensor can cause the engine to run poorly or stall. Check the MAF sensor and make sure it's functioning properly.
Throttle position sensor: A faulty throttle position sensor can cause the engine to stall when you try to drive. Check the throttle position sensor and make sure it's functioning properly.
Engine control module (ECM): The engine control module (ECM) could be the issue if it's not providing the proper signals to the engine components.

It is your steering lock cylinder actuator which is located behind your ignition switch, the cause is a little button that gets stuck and it keep the start position on until you turn off the car to disengage it

Starter system fail on dashboard display

Ford F-150 2012 FX4 4dr SuperCrew 4WD/5.0L 8cyl 6A 105000 miles
Driving the interstate on Tuesday and vehicle lost all power and shut down. Had towed to dealership (they were able to start it and drive into service bay). Dealership service department connected to computer and no errors were indicated. When we picked up vehicle, were able to drive the vehicle approximately 60 miles to home and then drove an additional 60 miles on Thursday.
Today, 4 days after vehicle was towed to dealership, we were unable to start the vehicle. The starter system fail is displayed on dashboard. Lights, radio, power windows, locks, etc all still work. Battery checks out (even attempted to jump, same response). All indications would point to a bad starter; however, would a bad starter completely shut down the vehicle? Anyone else experience this situation.

Sounds like your starter motor is stuck or has completely failed try putting the vehicle into gear and rocking it back and forward then try again if this fails I’d replace the starter motor hope this helps.

There could be a number of reasons why this is occurring, and it will be necessary to diagnose the problem to determine the cause.
One potential cause could be a problem with the starter motor. If the starter motor is not functioning properly, it could cause the engine to not crank when the key is turned.
Another potential cause could be a problem with the starter relay. The starter relay is responsible for supplying power to the starter motor, and if it is not functioning properly, it could cause the starter motor to not engage when the key is turned.
It is also possible that there could be a problem with the ignition switch or the wiring for the starter system. If the ignition switch is not functioning properly, or if the wiring for the starter system is damaged or corroded, it could cause the engine to not crank when the key is turned.
I recommend having a mechanic diagnose the issue to determine the cause and recommend the appropriate repairs. They will be able to test the starter motor, starter relay, ignition switch, and the wiring for the starter system to identify any problems and make the necessary repairs.

Start by ensuring the battery is fully charged...then test the starter by jumping (with the key in 'on' position) the ignition terminal to power terminal at the starter. If this starts the car, chances are it's just an ignition fuse. Check with your owners manual as there can be multiple fuses related to the ignition/starter system.

Battery great, terminals clean, cables at battery cleaned and secured, no crank, no noise, starter was playfully loose, manipulated starter wires, engine wanted to crank but weak, tried again and slower each time until nothing, found small wire at starter was exposed and burnt(I think burnt). Still nothing , lights do not dim when cranking, have interior lights. Checked fuses and relays, had gas.
